Private Classes, Workshops, Preparedness Consultations, and Mentoring sessions

Lately, I have found filling classes on my schedule tough, but the demand for private lessons is high. Truthfully, I enjoy these types of courses because, as a one-human operation, they are much less time-consuming to prepare for and teach. Plus, we can get so much more done in a one-on-one setting. I can do anything from regular online mentoring, or I can come to you to teach, or you can come visit the beautiful 12 acres I live on in the mountains of Oregon. Regardless of location. If it is an online class or in-person I will cater the class to your experience, level, and what you want to learn!

Preparedness consultations

In this day and age, when anything can happen, from natural disasters to civil unrest, we must understand the things that we need to keep in our homes at all times should our regular daily routine become interrupted. What happens if the grocery stores close for a month? What happens if you are without power for a month? Do you have secondary and tertiary methods, from providing light at night to cooking? If not, then schedule a free consultation with me. I'm doing the free consultation and keeping the actual content I give you as cheap as possible because I want people to be prepared. Contact me, and I promise you that you will have peace of mind, knowing what to do in case a disaster strikes. After the initial free consultation, if you choose to go further, I will provide you with the following steps and things I need you to get in order before I can truly assess your household situation.

Camping on the edge of the Arctic Circle

Alaskan Tundra

A private class I ran for two hunting guides on the Tundra Of Alaska just shy of the Arctic Circle.

Don’t just take my word for it! Here are some testimonials from people who have booked me for private insruction!

My boyfriend and I took a multi-day wilderness survival class from Tom (aka T3) last year and learned invaluable skills on how to survive in the Alaskan wilderness. Not only did we learn how to make a bow drill and create bowls and utensils, T3 taught us how to survive and gather food using primitive tools while living off of the plants around us.

Tom is extremely passionate about sharing his wealth of knowledge to both current and future generations and gave us an experience we will never forget. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn primitive survival skills along with how to appreciate the little things we take for granted in nature!- Erika and Jerry

“I took a week-long survival class with Tom Brown III. He taught me things that I would never forget. There's not one day I don't reminisce about what I learned from T3 and a few other instructors. My peers and I are forever grateful for T3's teaching. If you wish to learn more about nature, survival, and primitive skills. T3 is your guy. My peers and I cannot wait to train with T3 again. PS. We loved his storytelling by the fire. You will have one of the best times of your life! One of the best primitive skills teachers ever.”-Pac

“I was a student in Toms classes in 2007 and 2008. I was highly impressed with the amount of deep knowledge and skills Tom possessed and the ability to communicate it to his students. I have grown in my awareness, and spirituality in large part from taking classes from Tom Brown III. My outdoor skill are much better, and I am looking forward to a refresher source with him in the near future. As a coach, I highly recommend Tom and his classes for anyone's personal and professional growth.” -Scott S

“I just spent the last four days with Tom, and I know, without a doubt, that he naturally has the skills, heart, and intuition by his own right to train anyone in ancestral skills.
While we walked on the trails by my home- I had become so accustomed to my surroundings that I missed the most amazing and magical plants and animals in my very backyard. Tom would walk by some common milkweed- that I have seen thousands of times- and he started photographing the plant- so I knew there must have been something beautiful- and there was the most stunning praying mantis- just poised for us to observe.
In a very short time- we covered so many skills, bow drill, hand drill, processing cordage, plant identification and their uses, animal tracking, and signs- and before I knew it - it was time to drive Tom back to the airport.

If you can spend time with Tom, I believe anyone should take advantage of someone who gives so much of his time, knowledge, and skill.”

Thank you, Tom, for everything. -Jan H

A happy Student in her WeatherWool Anorak!

“Tom is like an unending waterfall of knowledge. We brought him down to teach our family- 3 adults and two kids, and we were all able to get something out of it. The kids were engaged, and the adults also learned a lot.  Tom has a ton of knowledge, wisdom,  and experience in his field. He also captured amazing photos and videos, which is really awesome to get to have to look back on the experience.”  -Luke S

“Thank you very much for the class. I appreciate your holistic approach to teaching- the functional lesson with the heart/meaning behind it! I wish you could hear the gratitude in my heart. Two small words don't seem enough but thank you for facilitating such a wonderful experience. I felt true JOY while doing this class... and I didn't expect that.” -Chrissy
