Awareness is the most crucial life skill, and most people don’t realize that it is being stolen from them by a society of safety, security, and comfort. It's not that being safe, secure, and comfortable is the worst thing in the world, but it cuts us off from so many wonderful experiences. We travel through our days in our 72° bubbles, afraid to get hot or cold or wet. It doesn't take much awareness to live in modern society. You don't have to hunt and be able to read the landscape and tell how long ago the herd of elk came through. Or listen for another alarm call from the Stellers jays and try to decide if they are alarmed at an owl or a bobcat. Along with our awareness also went our instincts. In this class, I will teach you how your awareness has been stolen and, more importantly, how to get it back. After this class, we will not look upon life the same way ever again.
