FIre: Humans Most Important Tool (Sandy, Or)

  • Trackers Earth Sandy, OR (map)

Fire is Arguably the most important tool our early ancestors used.

Of all the places I have practiced fire-making skills, the Pacific North-west in winter is one of the most challenging environments to get a fire going even if you have a lighter. We will talk about building, lighting, and maintaining a fire during this class and then exploring the ancient friction fire-making device known as the bow-drill. You will learn and practice on the kits we provide and leave with the knowledge to build your kit once you get home!
